Muqdisho(INO)-Somali security forces Tuesday arrested an al-Shabaab suspect they said disguised himself as a woman in Mogadishu’s Hodan district.
In a video released by the Somali National Television, the suspect is seen awkwardly walking near a police car while wearing a niqab, a long gray hijab and sporting sunglasses.
The Somali police did not release the suspect’s name nor they did they provide information about how the suspect could have been positively identified, since his face was completely covered with the niqab.
Somali police spokesman Qasim Ahmed Roble said they are investigating why the suspect disguised himself as a woman. He added that they will provide more details about the suspect after they complete investigations.
