Tetu Member of Parliament and chairperson of the Parliamentary Defence Committee Ndung’u Gathenji says his committee will petition the United Nations Assembly to fund the Kenya Defence Forces serving in Somalia.
Gathenji said Kenyan forces who moved into Somalia in October 2011 have been curtailed by lack of crucial equipment to facilitate their operations against the Al Shabaab militant group.
