The president of the federal republic of Somalia H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has formally opened the 8th session of the parliament on Monday.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has congratulated the federal parliamentarians on the opening of their 8th session.
Addressing at the parliament, Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud urged lawmakers to double their hard work and get ready for the touch tasks ahead.
“For the 1st time in 30 years, Somalia has achieved to restore the cooperation with the International monetary fund (IMF), to cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade,” said Somali president.
For his part, the speaker of the house Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari delivered a long speech at today session on various angles based on the urgent need to pass the proposed bills at the parliament.
The speaker said: “This 8th session is crucial and harder than the previous sessions as the country approaches to presidential and parliamentary elections by the end of this year.”
