A member of Somalia’s federal parliament Dahir Amin Jesow has strongly denied reports that the state formation meeting in Jowhar is on the brink of failure.
He said the inter-regional state formation conference has stepped in its second phase and the elders are working jointly to shape a new federal state for Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle region.
“It is entirely untrue that Jowhar conference is failing. There are no any obstacles, the meeting is underway gets its second phase and participants will soon form the federal state administration,” said Jesow.
The lawmaker said they are now working on ways to bring missing elders into the conference, in a bid to get an inclusive regional administration for Hiiraan and middle Shabelle regions.
