New York(INO)-The Somali Money Transfer Firms in the United States resume their work after they have halted their work for some time following a recent closure of their accounts by US banks.
Those American banks closed the banks of the Somali Money Transfer Companies in this month of February for fear that money transferred may fall in the wrong hands. This move of allowing the hawalas to continue to operate there was highly welcomed by Somalis in Somalia for they get remittances from their relatives abroad through them.
