Jibril Ibrahim Abdulle, a presidential candidate running for presidency in the upcoming election in Somalia has accused the sitting president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of fraud and election intervention.
Speaking at a press conference in Mogadishu, Mr Abdulle said the country’s caretaker president Hassan Sheikh has an influence in the electoral commission, and warned vote-rigging in the president election.
The president candidate Jibril Ibrahim Abdulle said Mogadishu status has been neglected and ignored its rights of the power-sharing system by president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the outgoing president.
On the other hand, Mr Abdulle said Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has promoted nearly 300 soldiers newly enrolled in Somali army, as those who have been serving in the army since 1960 still in their ranks.
“The people of Somalia are more patient and see their eyes the tall buildings constructed by the high-ranking officials in the government with corrupted state asset,” he said during the press confrence.
He said Somali president would not accomplish if he is elected second term in office the vast work he failed to fulfill during his four-year tenure at Villa Somalia.
