The President of Somalia’s South-West State, Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan Met With Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Tedros Adhanom met today July 27, 2016) in Addis ababa.
The President acknowledged the role of the Ethiopian government and the support it rendered in the promotion of regional peace and security, adding that he appreciates the support of the Ethiopian military in the fight against al-Shabab in Somalia.
The president also called upon the Government of Ethiopia to maintain and extend the support to bring about a durable peace in Somalia.
Dr Tedros noted that Ethiopia would further consolidate its endeavors towards lasting peace and stability in Somalia.
Beyond ensuring peace and stability, the Minister said Ethiopia and Somalia should also strive together to strengthen the bilateral trade and investment ties.
