Drs Maryan Hajji Elmi, one of Somali politicians has accused the current federal government of widespread corruption as the nation is facing transitional period.
“The present government led by Hassan Sheikh is more corrupt than other prior governments in the country because of lack of accountability,” she said.
She said the leaders of the federal government will be held accountable for the money stolen from the central Bank of Somalia in Mogadishu by a cashier.
In the past, Several lawmakers and politicians have similarly spoke about the theft scam at the central bank of Somalia, whereby a cashier has stolen $530,000.
