The prime minister of Somalia Omar Abdirashid is having talks in-depth talks with the leader of the semi-autonomous state of Puntland Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas in Garowe city.
The meeting between the PM Sharmarke and Gaas president is focused on the proposed 4.5 formula, the clan based electoral model of the upcoming election.
Puntland state has rejected to have the same opinion on the electoral model agreement during the national consultative meeting held in Kismayo and Mogadishu early this year.
According to the reliable sources, Sharmake’s visit to Garowe, the capital of Puntland state is part of broader consultations for the Somali electoral structure in 2016.
