Unidentified pistol-wielding men have shot and killed a soldier serving with Somalia’s Intelligence and security agency (NISA) in Mogadishu on Sunday, the 4th officer to be killed in two days.

The soldier who was identified as Mahad Farah has been gunned down in Mogadishu’s Hamarweyne district, according to eyewitnesses who spoke to Radio Shabelle by phone.

The shooting was the latest in string of assassinations against NISA members in Mogadishu by Al shabaab fighters. On Saturday three NISA officers were killed in separate attacks in Mogadishu.

NISA did not comment on the increasing attacks on its members in the capital.
