Somali lawmaker Mohamed Omar Dalha has accused the federal government of failing to stop Kenya from building a barrier along its border which has effected life of local residents.
Dalka who is also the deputy chairman of Somalia’s parliamentary committee for foreign affairs has stressed that the parliament has done its best to deal with the issue, and paid an assessment visit to the border.
He urged the federal government of Somalia to act quickly and halt Kenya’s plan to erect illegally a separating wall inside Somali territory that denies access citizens to travel freely.
In 2015, Kenya has started construction of a 435-mile wall along its porous border with Somalia as part of efforts to shut out Al Shabaab militants who carried out deadly attacks in its soil.
