Reports reaching us from Kismayo indicate that at least one person was killed in a shooting spree by soldiers belonging to the interim Jubbaland administration on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses say the incident happened at Dal’ada village in the coastal city of Kismayo when soldiers opened fire on crowded civilians over land dispute circumstances.
The city has once served as financial and military hub for Al shabaab for almost seven years before SNA and KDF took the control from militants in late 2012.
The Kenyan-backed Interim Jubbaland administration has been accused of crimes against humanity and indiscriminate killings against civilians, including traditional elders and businessmen.
