Interim South West Administration (ISWA), Ministry of Finance.
SWA’s Ministry of Finance is the entity responsible for the overall financial management and control of the budgetary resources of the ISWA.
The ministry will be responsible for making recommendations to ISWA’s leadership, to the Cabinet of Ministers and to the Parliament when is established, on a range of economic and financial issues, including formulating an overall fiscal strategy consistent with the South West economic conditions, developing public revenue raising and expenditure programs to be reflected in an ISWA annual budget, controlling the expenditure execution and revenue raising authorized by the budget, controlling the accounts of the ISWA and providing financial reports on the state of ISWA finances to the Cabinet and to the people.
The Ministry of Finance is now seeking expressions of interest for employment in a number of positions within the Ministry. The positions will be across a wide range of functional areas and it includes Budget; Revenue and Procurement Directors and their respective office supports. Payroll management officer, Accounting and financial reporting officer, taxation policy and administration, and office of management of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems.
Qualifications and skills required therefore range from degree level qualifications, preferably in Economics; Business Administrations and Accounting, through to a minimum of high school diploma for junior clerical staff. All positions will require substantial experience working with ICT in an office context on a day-to-day basis. Previous employment experience in either the private or public sector in the stated fields will be well regarded.
The terms and conditions of employment, including the employment grade and salaries, will be determined by ISWA’s remuneration and civil service structure as applied to individual positions to be filled. Job offers will be made following a panel interview and background checking process.
