Unknown gunmen have shot and killed unarmed civilian in Mogadishu, on Monday night, the latest in a string of targeted killings in Somali capital.
According to eyewitnesses, pistol-wielding men have murdered Mohamed Hassan Shati at Dabakayo Madow nighbourhood in Dharkenley district.
The assassins have escaped shortly before security forces have arrived and cordoned off the scene of the killing. Motive of the civilian murder remains unclear.
Local authorities did not comment on the assassination of the civilian.
Mogadishu has witnessed an increase of deadly attacks, including drive-by-shootings targeting on Somali security force members, lawmakers and civilians.
