At least four people were wounded in an overnight bomb blast at a restaurant in Garbaharey town, the regional capital of Gedo, south west of Somalia.
Confirming the incident, Col Abdullah Hussein Ibrahim who is a senior army officer said the blast struck an eatery popular with Somali government soldiers.
“The attack was used a remote-controlled land mine that tore through the restaurant, but no casualties on Somali army service members,” Ibrahim said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the restaurant bombing.
