Former head of center for research and dialogue (CRD) Jibril Ibrahim Abdulle has on Monday announced his candidacy for president in 2016 presidential election.
Speaking at well-organized event in Mogadishu hotel, Abdulle said: “I hereby declare that I am a candidate running for Somalia’s presidency – I felt called to by people to improve their lives for the better.”
Thousands of people from all walks of life have attended the colorful ceremony, where Mr Jibril has declared his candidacy and run for president this year.
Former CRD administrator promised for change, if elected as the president of Somalia in the next four years. He said will lead the country towards peace and progress.
