Muqdisho(INO)-Security forces were deployed in parts of Hamar Jajab and Hamar Weyne Districts in Muqdisho today for security operations.
The security forces went to the Hamar Weyne market too. They carried out security operation in the market.
Traffic came to stand still in Hamar Weyne and its environs. Security officials confirmed that these are part of the government initiatives in ensuring security is beefed up in Muqdisho.
This comes at a time when government officials, members of the federal parliament and other important persons are targeted in the city with assassinations by armed insurgent groups. The civilians are not spared either.
Yesterday, unknown assailants murdered a federal member of parliament, Abdullahi Qayad Barre.
