Muqdisho(INO)-Somalia’s deputy minister of defense resigned on Saturday in a surprise move two days after Somalia PM concluded his cabinet list on Thursday. Abdurrahman Kulmiye said that PM Omar rushed to hire some of the cabinet including him.
“I decided not to serve for the position .The PM named me with no consultation “the outgoing minster told reporters in Mogadishu.
“It’s not only my decision but my clan is also supportive to quit “he said. Abdurrahman Kumiye who was a veteran Somali politician asked PM Omar to reshuffle his cabinet again.
The PM appointed and reshuffled his government following weeks of delays and a growing opposition from the Somali MPs.
The appointed cabinet is expected to receive parliament’s confidence vote on Monday according to Somali’s national assembly speaker Prof.Jawari.
