The death toll from a truck bomb attack in Somali capital Mogadishu has risen to 26, including security force members, medical sources said on Tuesday.
A driver of local ambulance service said several people who were seriously wounded in the attack have succumbed to their injures at the hospitals in Mogadishu.
Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack which happened outside SYL hotel Mogadishu on Tuesday morning, according pro-militants media outlets.
A bomber drove his explosives-laden truck into the main gates of SYL hotel near Somali palace in Mogadishu, killing at least 26 people, including soldiers.
Unconfirmed reports said several ministers, and lawmakers were among those wounded in the powerful bomb attack in Mogadishu, which was claimed by Al Shabaab.
