Somalia’s armed group of Al Shabaab had denied attacks on Westgate shopping mall and Garissa University which killed dozens have been planed from Dadaab refugee camp in northern Kenya.
The militant group’s spokesman, Sheikh Mohamud Rage said the main aim that Kenya wanted to close the camp is to catch the attention of the Western countries, adding that those nations were busy for looking better solution for Syrian crisis.
Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International said that Kenyan government’s decision to close down two large refugee camps, including the world’s biggest at Dadaab, is likely to put thousands of innocent lives at risk.
The remarks by Al Shabaab came after Kenya said it was shutting down the camps due to “very heavy” economic, security and environmental issues.
