A high-level delegation from the United Nations security council has touched down in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia on Thursday.
Reports say Somali government leaders have welcomed the visiting UN security council delegation at Aden Adde International airport in Mogadishu.
Security of the seaside city has been tightened by Somali and AMISOM troops ahead of the UNSC delegation’s arrival.
The UNSC officials will meet with Somali government leaders, regional states presidents and members of the parliament to discuss ways to end the deadlock over the election model.
