A remote controlled roadside bomb has ripped through a convoy of vehicles belonging to African Union Mission (AMISOM) outside Afgoye town on Tuesday.
An improvised explosive device, placed on a road in Addow Dibille has hit the AMISOM convoy, and destroyed an armored vehicle, according to a resident.
After the bomb attack, AMISOM soldiers have shot and killed at least two unarmed civilians who were nearby the site of the explosion, according to the resident who spoke to Radio Shabelle on condition of anonymity.
It is yet unclear that the Al Qaeda-linked Al shabaab militants are responsible for the IED attack on AMISOM military convoy near Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region.
