An armored vehicle belong to the African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has hit and killed a member of Somali police force in Mogadishu on Sunday night, relatives confirmed On monday Idale News Online Reports.
The tragic incident happened after a convoy of AMISOM armored vehicles passed on a wrong lane due to traffic jam on the a highway at the National theater, leading a vehicle to suddenly hit the police officer.
The officer was critically wounded in the attack in the accident has been rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead later, according to a relative who spoke to Radio Shabelle by phone.
This is not the first time AMISOM vehicle is involved in a traffic accident in Somalia, In the past two years, AMISOM’s vehicles have killed several civilians, including a child and cab driver in Mogadishu.
