Puntland deputy President Abdihakin Haji Omer Amey has strongly denounced remarks which Cali Khalif Galaydh threatened to Puntland’s security.
The Khaatumo leader who has been engaged in talks with the breakaway state of Somaliland has said that his administration and Hargaisa will unite to defend their borders against Puntland.
The controversial remarks sparked outrageous concerns in Puntland despite border disputes has been an alarming concern in the region.
“We all know that he has not any future in Khaatumo and we don’t know what Somaliland could benefit in the talks it opened with him “the DP has said in an interview with local media.
He said that Puntland would not retreat any inch of its territorial borders, saying they will aim to liberate Lascanod from Somaliland’s occupation.
Ali Khaliif Galaydh who has been on the run , recently asked Somaliland for reunion as he was recently blocked from taking off in an airport in Buuhoodle.
The state deputy President said that Puntland would heel any domestic conflicts in the region; calling public to support only what is good for their future.
