Al Shabaab militants have withdrawn from 3 locations day after capturing them as SNA forces were preparing to launch an offensive to take back the towns.
The militants captured Addow Dibille, Lanta Buro and Muri in Lower Shabelle region, without resistance on Friday from Somali National Army (SNA) troops.
Reports said the retreating Al Shabaab fighters are now heading to Somali capital, Mogadishu, the seat of western backed Somali federal government.
Sources in Afgoye district, 30Km south-west of Mogadishu, tell Radio Shabelle residents are in fear after hearing Al Sabaab is massing fighters around the town.
However, no one is currently ruling the areas vacated by Al Shabaab militants.
