At least four Kenyan defense force soldiers were killed, several injured in a bomb attack on KDF military convoy in southern Somalia on Wednesday, according to Al shabaab statement.
Al shabaab, a militant group linked with Al Qaeda has claimed credit for the deadly attack which occurred at Hawina village near Dhobley town in lower Jubba region in the early hours on Wednesday.
In a report published by pro-al shabaab website, the attack has resulted from a remote-controlled land mine targeted the KDF convoy it was travelling between Hawina and Tabta villages in southern Somalia.
Al shabaab said it burnt down an armored personnel carrier in the devastating roadside bomb on KDF military convoy. Kenyan military did not comment so far Al shabaab’s claim of killing four KDf soldiers.
