Guracel(INO)-At least ten people were killed in a fierce clashes between Federal government Forces and Ahlu-Sunna militants in Somalia’s central region of Gal-gaduud ,witness and residents said. The militants seized Guricel town and forced federal troops out of the town.
Somali’s President Hassan Shikh Mohamud has arrived Dhusa-Mareb town to emerge truce between the warning sides.
Fighters loyal to Ahlu-sunna on Tuesday attacked government’s controled villages in the town, months after Government’s capture in Ahlu-suna grounds in the region.
Residents in the area fled from the fighting to seek places to refuge. The Ahlu-suna militants weeded out Al-shabaab from the region in 2012.
