Al Shabaab militants in Somalia have shot and killed two young men with on Monday morning, accusing the men of being soldiers in the Hiiraan government army.
Ahmed Yusuf Hassan, 26; and Ahmed Nur Abdi Osoble, 20; were killed by an Al Shabaab firing squad in Buq-Aqable in front of hundreds of people. They were accused of working with government forces in the region.
The militant group often carries out executions, especially when there are military operations in their territories.
Earlier this month, Al-Shabaab militants publicly beheaded four men in Lower Juba accused of spying for the country’s Western-backed government. In November 2016, the terrorist group beheaded five civilians in Tieglow town in Somalia’s Bakool region.
