South-west president Shariif Hassan Sheikh Aadan on Monday said that a group of politicians from the state have stumbled back a political intuitive which he said meant to avert Somalia’s political allocations.
He said that people from the South West deserve to occupy one of the Somalia’s top leadership positions including the presidency.
“Our major aim was to seek either premier or presidency position, but some politicians have decided to withdraw the plan after we set it” the South- west president has told reporters in Baidoa.
Shariif Hassan has been leading sweeping electoral campaigns which he intended to override Somalia’s unwritten political quotas.
He said that regional administration and federal level MPs have now stranded to divulge the political ambitions on winning the presidency position which now seems unattainable.
