A member of Somali parliament Dahir Amin Jesow has accused security agencies of Somalia of failing to thwart Tuesday’s truck bomb attack on SYL hotel that left over 20 people dead.
“The security agencies had prior information of a truck-laden with explosives in Mogadishu before the attack,” Jesow said
The Somali Lawmaker has urged the security forces to be more vigilant and prevent Al Shabaab from carrying out such deadly attacks in the city.
” I call on the public to exercise maximum level of alertness and work closely with the security forces in the security beef up and fight against Al Shabaab,” he added.
The MP’s call came day after Al Shabaab staged massive truck bomb attack on a popular hotel near Somali presidential palace in Mogadishu, which claimed lives of at least 20 people.
