Tense of fight between Somaliland and Puntland forces is reportedly mounting in several parts of disputed Sanaag region, located in northern Somalia on Thursday, reports said.
Residents said Somaliland and Puntland are amassing troops at Labho area which lies in the outskirts of Dahar town, with reports that war could break in anytime due to the tension.
The military build-up has forced hundreds of residents to flee their houses in Labho environs, where is prone to an escalating tension between the rival forces.
The elders from Somaliland and Puntland are calling on the sides to be restraint and end their differences through dialogue and mutual understanding.
Puntland state has accused Somaliland administration for starting the warfare, which broke out in Booda-cade area near Dahar town early this week.
