One soldier was killed and another one injured in a bomb blast in Afgoye town of Lower Shabelle region, southern Somalia on Monday.
Ahmed Adow an eye witness said the explosion happened at an army checkpoint.
“There was a loud bang at the checkpoint and a government soldier had been killed,” said Adow.
The injured have been rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion. African Union forces.
