The interim south west administration vowed it will begin a fresh anti-Al shabaab operation in its territories to put off group’s Ramadan offensives in Somalia.
The minister of disarmament and rehabilitation of South west state of Somalia Hassan Mohamed Hussein said they readied hundreds of troops for the impending attack against Al shabaab.
He underlined that his administration’s army will push Al shabaab fighters out of the remaining strongholds in Baay and Bakool regions of southern Somalia.
Al shabaab has heavy presence in Bay and Bakool regions of southern Somalia, despite losing swathes of land in the ongoing military attacks by SNA and AMISOM troops.
