Eithiopian troops arrest senior Somali army Chief in Beledweyne

Ethiopian soldiers serving under African Union mission in Somalia known as (AMISOM) are reportedly detained a senior SNA commander in Beledweyne, the headquarters of Hiiraan region.

Reliable sources have confirmed the arrest to media, saying the Ethiopian have apprehended Col Mohamed Kariye Arale, the Somali army commander from El Bur town in Galgadud region.

The SNA commanding officer is held at Beledweyne base, where the Ethiopians are inquiring him over alleged killing against former Al shabaab commander reportedly killed by the Govt troops in ElBur town.

Col Mohamed Kariye Arale, who is now under Ethiopian detention has led an anti-militant offensive that led to the capture of Elbur town from Al shabaab.

No word from Ethiopian troops of AMISOM contingent and SNA officials on the arrest of the army commander in Beledweyne town.
