The former deputy minister of Somalia Salad Ali Jelle who currently chairman of United and Democratic Party (UDP) about presidential decree on 2016 electoral process.
Mr Jelle said the president took the decision to approve electoral law after the parliament has failed to doo their job and serve for the people of Somalia.
“The president did what he wanted after seeing the parliament is toothless and ineffective, in terms of the passing the proposed bill of the 2016 elections system,” said
Somali lawmakers are in shock and upset that the president has swiftly endorsed and legalized the electoral model agreement that has been at the parliament since April 30, 2016.
