The security agencies of Somalia said they have foiled Al shabaab attempts to carry out bomb attacks in Mogadishu after seizing explosives attached to seven computer laptops and suspects.
The commanders of Somalia’s National Intelligence and security agency (NISA) said the soldiers conducted an operation in Nasruding village in Howlwadag area and capture 7 laptop bombs.
Following a tip-off, the NISA officers raided a suspected house in Mogadishu’s Howlwadag district, where Al shabaab was preparing explosives-laden laptops to carry out suicide attacks in the capital.
Meanwhile, there were independent reports confirming NISA’s claim of thwarting impending Al shabaab attack in Mogadishu. Despite driven out of the capital, the militants still staging attacks on SNA and AMISOM.
