Assailants riding tricycle rickshaw have attacked the residential House of Somali lawmaker Adan Ibrahim Dawiye in Hodon district of Mogadishu this evening. At least four security personnel of the lawmaker sustained injuries.
Several hand grenades were thrown into residential building of the lawmaker before the assailants managed to escape. Eye witness told South west of Somalia Based Independent station IdaleNews.com
Terrified residents in the neighborhood rushed to homes following intense fire discharge after the attack.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack, but Alshabab have claimed the responsibility of such previous attacks.
High profile attacks including the attack which killed Turkey Hospital workers last month took place in the same neighborhood of Hodon district.
