Unidentified gunmen killed a man said to have been shopkeeper near Dharkeynley’s Moalim Noor bus station on Tuesday morning in the latest of a series of shootings targeting Mogadishu’s residents.
A resident who spoke on condition of anonymity told IdaleNews that elderly man identified as Adan was gunned down in front of his shop near Salaam Mosque.
“I was at home, I heard gunfire and rushing outside I saw the body of a man lying in pool of blood outside his shop. I only know the man as Adan” said the witness.
Recent months several people have been targeted in the district.
Mid this month a woman as identified Fauzia Jamal Hassan was killed and two others were injured in drive by shooting by two motorbike-riding assailants.
