European Union Special Envoy to Somalia, Michele Cervone Durso has on Thursday called to put an end renewed clan clashes reported in Afgooye and Marka towns in Lower Shabelle region.
I appalled when I heard reports of continued incidents in those towns. It is time for reconciliation and forgiveness”, he said on his official Twitter account.
Mr. Durso added that people of Afgooye and Marka towns wanted peace and coexistence.
He finally urged both clan leaders to come to an end their hostilities through dialogue.
