A South west state of Somali official said ISWA, forces have launched an attack on base belonging to the Al Qaeda-linked Al shabaab militants in Bay region, south of Somalia. On Saturday morning Idale News Online Reports.
Confirming the incident, Burhakabo district commissioner Mohamed Abdi Mohamed said the attack took place at Al shabaab base near Bur Eyle village, where Al shabaab fighters had planed assaults against ISWA and AMISOM in the past.
He said security of the rural villages near Burhakabo town in Bay region have been beefed up after the south west state of somalia troops pushed Al shabaab out of its key strongholds.
Al shabaab did not comment on the official’s claim.
