ASWJ: Govt troops participated clan clash in Adado city

Abdullahi Hersi Dirshe, a vice president of the self-declared semi-autonomous state of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a (ASWJ) has accused Somali federal government troops of participating clan battle in Adado town.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Shabelle,  Dirshe said they were really worried as Somali government troops entered the conflict and sided with their respective clan in Adado.

“The federal government of Somalia in Mogadishu has sent military equipment, weapons and ammunitions to one of the sides fighting in Adado airport,” said Dirshe.

He stated that the federal government will be held accountable for the deaths and injuries resulted from the clan fighting in Adado town, the current interim seat of Galmudug state.

Somali government did comment on the accusation from Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a (ASWJ).
