The leader of Galmudug state Abdikarim Hussein Guled said his administration will not tolerate the daily cross border raids and killings by the Ethiopian force known as “Liyu police.”
Guled underscored that Galmudug state will take strict measures to protect its people from what he termed as ‘Genocide’ becoming persistent in Mudug regional villages near Ethiopian border.
Over the past few months, the so called Liyu Police militia launched many deadly attack on innocent civilians in Kahandhale area in Mudug region, targeting villagers and killing people who keep livestock.
Liyu police is an Ethiopian paramilitary unit operating in Ethiopia’s ethnic Somali region.
