The parliament of Jubbaland state who held session in Kismayo gave their vote of confidence to governor Ahmed Mohamed Islam known as Madobe for the fourth term.
This had come when the governor appealed to the MPs for 45 extra days of tackling the establishment of his new executive–cabinet ministers.
49 MPs out of the 56 MPs who attended the session give their vote of confidence while six of the rest voted against it.
The governor will be given 45 days to nominate his new executive members.
This is the fourth time the MPs do give their vote of confidence to the governor.
