Muqdisho(INO)-Somali Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke was urged by the public to step down after his government failed to halt Federal Parliament’s move which resulted in deepened political unrest in the worn torn Somalia.

Somali parliament has today refused confidence for the newly established Jubba regional Parliament after lawmakers table Motion of “No Confidence”.

Sharmarke has spent a day in Kismayo shortly after the birth of this move, taking closed door meetings with the top Jubba Administration leaders including president Ahmed Madobe.

The prime minister of Somalia has singed a deal with the regional authority, promising them to halt the move that costed the suspension of the mutual cooperation between the Federal government and the regional authority.

Shortly after wrapping up his visit to Kismayo, Sharmarke has submitted an official request to the Federal Parliament asking them to delay the motion against the Jubba Parliament.

Jubbaland has on its side warned of any motion against its newly formed parliament, saying it might cause cut relations between the two sides.

The Somali Parliament has today passed “No Confidence” motion against the Jubba House of Assembly.

Somali President Hassan Shiekh Mohamud and Parliament Speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari are accused of pushing this motion from the back.

Prime minister Sharmarke who hails from Jubbaland regions has been reportedly disregarded and urged to resign since he has failed to take concrete actions to prevent the nation from sliding into political tensions
