Baledwein(INO)-A prominent peacemaker-Hilowle Maalim Yaqub who hails from Hiiraan asked for compensation from President Gelleh of Djibouti as he claimed that the Djibouti contingent of AMISOM killed his relatives.
Speaking to INO in an exclusive interview, the peacemaker said his family demands the blood money from the senior leaders of Djibouti including President Ismail Omar Gelleh who is currently in Somalia on visit.
However, this peacemaker got a quick response which is opposing to his claims from another peacemaker from Hiiran who was irritated by his remarks. He denied the allegations and referred to the president of Djibouti Mr. Gelle as a Somali hero.
However, Mr. Hilowle requested the senior federal government official in that region, Mr. Abdifatah Hassan Afrah to be replaced and to be transferred from that region. He cited that Mr. Abdifatah fueled clan clashes in the region.
“We need those people who took him to Hiiraan Region the young man called Abdifataah to transfer him. He fueled clan clashes there”. Hilowle said. “Abdifatah cannot represent the people. He fueled clashes among the youths in Hiiraan Region”. He added.
Peacemaker Hilowle also says that Abdifatah also set the Djibouti forces in AMISOM against his clan in Hiiraan where he claims they killed elites who hail from his clansmen.
