Muqdisho(INO)-Somalia’s president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is planning to visit Germany for health check up, government officials said on Wednesday. The President with his Family members has been scheduled to visit Turkey as part of his trip to Germany.
In his last public appearance, the President attended a highly structured event held at Somali presidential place by PM a day after Somali MPs endorsed PM’s cabinet lineup.
The president was suffering a lengthy period of ill health since December, according to credible source in Mogadishu. President Hassan will be treated at least one week in an unrelieved hospital in Germany.
Somali Mogadishu based government has been in a chaotic situation due to political unrest within its institutions.
