Muqdisho(INO)-The prime minister of Somalia ABdiweli Sheikh Ahmed called the militias of the warring clans in the War-shubo locality of Harardhere district to immediately cease fire without condition and to solve their differences through dialogue.
The premier stated that these clashes are unnecessary and unacceptable because of the casualties and the displacement it caused to the people of the area.
“We are calling the brothers who are fighting on tribal lines to immediately take cease fire and stop unnecessary clashes between them that revisits the area”, Said Mr. Abdiweli.
He on the other side called the local administrations in the region to take part in the peace efforts and take action to end the hostilities and tensions between the neighboring clans.
The premier appealed to the traditional elders and the civil society to also take an active role of easing the tensions and invite the two sides to dialogue.
Deadly tribal clashes embarked on Friday afternoon in War-Shubo locality in Mudug region and were motivated by clan revenges and have claimed the lives of over 15 people and 20 others wounded.
