At least three civilians died, and several injured in AMISOM bombardment on residential areas in Somalia’s Lower Shabelle province on Saturday, reports said.
Three people – two kids and their father lost their lives in the AMISOM shelling on a rural area, according to a resident who spoke to Idale News Online via phone.
AMISOM did not comment on the reported mortar bombing in Lower Shabelle region, south of Somalia, where has been the scene of Al shabaab attacks in recent years.
Civilians in the region have been targeted in such shelling by AMISOM – African Union Mission in Somalia who are in Somalia to fight against the Al Qaeda-linked Al shabaab militants.
