Ahlu Suna hails Farmajo’s election, pledges support


Ahlu Sunna Waljama administration has warmly welcomed the election of President-elect Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo as president of Somalia.

According to the vice president of Ahlu Sunna administration, people living in towns under their admin have greatly celebrated the victory of Farmajo in Thursday’s election.

He pledged support to the new President-elect who will take over the office from Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who has conceded defeat to Farmajo during the third round of the voting.

Ahlu Sunna, which controls large parts in central Somalia has been in battle against Al shabaab since 2008, has now a self-declared regional administration based in Dhusamareb.
