Somalia: Deadly clan battle renews in Abudwak town


At least 6 people are reported to have been killed, and several others wounded in a renewed clan fighting broke out on Wednesday in Abudwak town in Galgadud region.

The tribal conflict has ignited following the murder of a civilian by armed clan militiamen over unresolved clan revenge, according to residents who spoken to by phone.

Bile Salad Dini, a member of Galmudug state parliament has called for immediate end of the fighting, and urged both warring sides to solve their grievances through peaceful dialogue.

He has accused Galmudug of dragging its feet to halt the reccurent tribal clashes in Abudwak which left dozens of people dead, while hundreds of families fled their houses.
